Definitely spend a good amount of time reviewing your written content to ensure it is up to date and ready for your new site. You will also need to pull together lots of images for me, which I will have you rename for SEO purposes (I will send you details on how to do this). Write down your start-to-finish session process, so we can include this info on your site. If it's been awhile since you've had headshots taken, I highly recommend booking a branding shoot for your new site!
What should I do before we start working together?
Showit is the platform that I trusted for my own photography business, so I know firsthand just how intuitive and amazing their websites are. I was a beta-tester for them when they first launched back in 2008. In 2016, I had the opportunity to test for them again when they released their HTML5 version. I not only KNOW Showit, I genuinely love their platform and their amazing crew! When it comes to designing with Showit, anything is possible! I love the freedom and flexibility that it offers!
Why do you design exclusively in the Showit Platform?
Showit has three subscription options to choose from. Depending on how your site will be structured, this will determine which subscription will be the best. The major factor is whether or not you intend to include a Wordpress blog. I can help you navigate this process when you create your account. Keep in mind, you won't need to create your account until we get close to launching. Showit offers either annual or monthly billing. You can review their prices here.
I'm new to Showit, How much does it cost?
My 2022 policy is to only take on one custom client per month. With a goal of delivering websites to my clients quickly and efficiently, this simply cannot be accomplished if I have too many projects happening at the same time. I am typically booked out 2-4 months in advance.
To secure a place in my calendar, a signed design contract and 50% retainer is required. The remaining 50% is due upon completion.
I'm ready to do this! How soon can we get started?
Absolutely! Many of my design clients do! Although you will have complete access to your new site, there is a bit of a learning curve with Showit. I will provide you with a link to their Help Center, which is loaded with video and written tutorials. If you the DIY type, you likely won't need to rely on me for updates and changes. However, if you prefer to leave all of your website needs in my hands, that is also an option. I offer hourly Showit assistance, as often as you need.
